She did it!
On the 15th of November 2009 Aimee was awarded Best Longhair cat in Brigitte Berthelon's ring and became a Supreme Grand Champion!!!
I am so delighted :-D
She is also sitting 2nd overall in our region and top 40 Internationally.
Her baby brothers are still here waiting for their new pet homes, so please feel free to contact us if you want to discover the wonderful world of American Curls!

Your Cat magazine!
Well today is the day!!
The American Curl article has come out in November's issue of Your Cat :-) Plus, an added bonus, a couple of our British are featured from the photo shoot they did a few years ago!
Other news - Aimee is up to 34 rings after picking up another 8 finals at her last show, sadly the closest we got to Supreme was 2nd but hey ho she'll keep trying and I hope she'll beat those stunning boys soon!
Sword will be staying with us until after Christmas, we will be showing him lightly and will then look for a show neuter home for him or a very special pet home. So, that means that the extremely silly and soppy Utah and Omaha are now available for special pet homes.

September
Show news first, Aimee had 5 normal and 2 congress finals at the Swanley show on the 19th & 20th September. She now has all her points for Supreme so is just waiting on a Best Cat, her regional campaign is going in the right direction so all is good!
Your Cat magazine came to visit us and photograph the cats and we hope the article will be out in November's issue, after keeping them all to myself for the last two years I thought it was probably time to share!
The three boys are growing and developing well, Omaha is available to a pet home and Sword and Utah are being assessed this weekend at the TICA show being held at Stoneleigh Park. It would be nice to show one of the boys for a bit if they come up to scratch. They will be on exhibition on Saturday so feel free to come to meet them. Aimee will also be at the show so fingers crossed!!

More show news
Well, Aimee was out again this past weekend and excelled herself with 12 out of 12 finals!!!!! Ecstatic is the word to describe how I felt on Sunday! She also received two Best Allbreeds, one on Saturday from Pascal Remy and one on Sunday from Jean Marc Lagarde, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! She clocked up enough points to finish the weekend as a QGC, so now it is just the scary wait to see if she can get another Best and become a Supreme.
Having shown cats and come away with no finals I can really appreciate just how good this girl is, she may be my once in a lifetime cat and I fully intend to enjoy this whole show season with her and see where we finish up, I may never get a chance again!
The kittens are growing well and starting to develop that lovely American Curl attitude to life, they have a photo shoot at the start of September and then Juno, Sword and Utah will be available to pet homes. When I get some new batteries for the camera I will post new photos of them.

Overear Maidyalook 'Aimee' finished the 08-09 show season as International Best of Breed American Curl Longhair kitten, Regional Best of Breed American Curl Longhair kitten and 11th Best All Breed kitten in our region giving her the title of Regional Winner!!! Quite an achievement in her short kitten career, let alone being the first Curl to have been bred in the UK!
This past weekend Aimee attended her first adult show, she finalled in 9 of the 12 rings with a 2nd Best AB, 3rd Best AB, 2 x 5th Best SP, 2 x 7th Best AB, 2 x 9th Best AB and a 10th Best AB. The count was around 60 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday with a lot of mature cats out :-) She is now a Grand Champion and just a few points short of Double!!!!
