Supreme!!!

She did it!
On the 15th of November 2009 Aimee was awarded Best Longhair cat in Brigitte Berthelon's ring and became a Supreme Grand Champion!!!
I am so delighted :-D

She is also sitting 2nd overall in our region and top 40 Internationally.

Her baby brothers are still here waiting for their new pet homes, so please feel free to contact us if you want to discover the wonderful world of American Curls!

Your Cat magazine!

Well today is the day!!

The American Curl article has come out in November's issue of Your Cat :-) Plus, an added bonus, a couple of our British are featured from the photo shoot they did a few years ago!

Other news - Aimee is up to 34 rings after picking up another 8 finals at her last show, sadly the closest we got to Supreme was 2nd but hey ho she'll keep trying and I hope she'll beat those stunning boys soon!
Sword will be staying with us until after Christmas, we will be showing him lightly and will then look for a show neuter home for him or a very special pet home. So, that means that the extremely silly and soppy Utah and Omaha are now available for special pet homes.

September

Show news first, Aimee had 5 normal and 2 congress finals at the Swanley show on the 19th & 20th September. She now has all her points for Supreme so is just waiting on a Best Cat, her regional campaign is going in the right direction so all is good!
Your Cat magazine came to visit us and photograph the cats and we hope the article will be out in November's issue, after keeping them all to myself for the last two years I thought it was probably time to share!
The three boys are growing and developing well, Omaha is available to a pet home and Sword and Utah are being assessed this weekend at the TICA show being held at Stoneleigh Park. It would be nice to show one of the boys for a bit if they come up to scratch. They will be on exhibition on Saturday so feel free to come to meet them. Aimee will also be at the show so fingers crossed!!

More show news

Well, Aimee was out again this past weekend and excelled herself with 12 out of 12 finals!!!!! Ecstatic is the word to describe how I felt on Sunday! She also received two Best Allbreeds, one on Saturday from Pascal Remy and one on Sunday from Jean Marc Lagarde, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! She clocked up enough points to finish the weekend as a QGC, so now it is just the scary wait to see if she can get another Best and become a Supreme.
Having shown cats and come away with no finals I can really appreciate just how good this girl is, she may be my once in a lifetime cat and I fully intend to enjoy this whole show season with her and see where we finish up, I may never get a chance again!
The kittens are growing well and starting to develop that lovely American Curl attitude to life, they have a photo shoot at the start of September and then Juno, Sword and Utah will be available to pet homes. When I get some new batteries for the camera I will post new photos of them.

Shows and Kittens

It's been a while but plenty of news to tell you.
Overear Maidyalook 'Aimee' finished the 08-09 show season as International Best of Breed American Curl Longhair kitten, Regional Best of Breed American Curl Longhair kitten and 11th Best All Breed kitten in our region giving her the title of Regional Winner!!! Quite an achievement in her short kitten career, let alone being the first Curl to have been bred in the UK!
This past weekend Aimee attended her first adult show, she finalled in 9 of the 12 rings with a 2nd Best AB, 3rd Best AB, 2 x 5th Best SP, 2 x 7th Best AB, 2 x 9th Best AB and a 10th Best AB. The count was around 60 on Saturday and 50 on Sunday with a lot of mature cats out :-) She is now a Grand Champion and just a few points short of Double!!!!
On the kitten front, they are doing well and getting into trouble on a regular basis!

Babies are here

Bang on time, Disney gave birth to 5 babies in the early hours of Saturday morning. She has had two girls, red tabby & white and torbie & white and three boys, two tabby & white vans and a red tabby & white van. We will see if any of them are silver at a later date. The boys have the most amazing markings; all have coloured tails, two just have one spot of colour on their bodies and the third only has three body spots. They will be very striking with their completely white faces!
As before Disney is being a perfect mum and very proud of her kids, all have curled ears, so now begins the long waiting game of just how curled they'll be! Enquiries are welcome but decisions can't be made about the quality of the kittens just yet.
Their big sister Elizabeth is still looking for a home to call her own, she is an incredibly sweet and affectionate little girl. Very petite and with an easy to care for coat she is just waiting for the right slave to come along.

Just a few more days....

... until Disney is due to give birth, she is very well rounded at the moment!
Our lovely little Annabel has gone off to live with her brother, I feel sure she will assist him in ruling the roost!
Major was shown last weekend, just doing one day in the kitten class. He came home with two Bests, two seconds, a third and a fifth.
Aimee will be shown in adult classes from July and Major will probably join her at a few shows in the alter class.
More news once Disney has popped!

End of Season

Phew! We got to the end and we did it in style!! Aimee was in all 14 finals at CoonTICA's show last weekend. She had 3 Bests, 6 seconds, a third, fourth, 2 fifths and a sixth!!! In total, from 5 shows, she has had 54 of a possible 60 finals with 11 of them as Best kitten!

Just waiting on the show report now to find out where she finishes!!

It has been a wonderful season with lots of new friends and although a few lows, lots and lots of highs :-)

Roll on the next one!

Best in Show!

The show report has just come through and Aimee was overall Best in Show kitten!!!!!!

To say I am happy is an understatement!

Show news and babies!

Aimee added another ten finals to her tally last weekend including two Bests! She is sitting 2nd BOB internationally at the moment and BOB in the region, she should also be around 15th place over all in the region!!
Two judges gave me some very positive feedback, loving her proportions and describing her as one of the nicest Curls they have seen for a while, we were also accused of hanging weights off her tail, as her body length and tail just seem to keep growing, LOL. She has her final show of the season on 25th & 26th April, in Milton Keynes, so we are keeping everything crossed!
On a different note, Disney is in kitten and should be expecting babies at the end of May, hopefully there will be another little Aimee in there!!
Major goes in to be neutered next week, it's no good - no matter how much we try we just can't bear to part with him, he and Stef are best buds so he will probably join his sister back on the show bench later in the year.
Annabel and Elizabeth are still looking for suitable homes, both are absolute poppets and crave love and attention.

More Show News

So far so good! Aimee clocked up another 11 finals out of a possible 12 at TickedTICA's show in Swanley. She had 2 x Best LH, 2nd Best AB, 2 x 3rd Best AB, 4th Best AB, 5th Best LH, 6th Best AB, 2 x 7th Best AB and an 8th Best AB. She has now finalled 30 times out of a possible 34 and we hope will start discarding her lowest points at her next show. She also finished the show as 3rd Best kitten and Best Longhair Kitten overall. I am simply bursting with pride.

Perfect Ten

What a clever girl she is!!
Aimee finalled in all ten rings at her last show, with 4 Best kittens!! This has moved her up to International and Regional Best of Breed!!!! Now all we've got to do is keep her there LOL

Aimee in Pascal Remy's final

Elizabeth and Annabel are still available and the sweetest little things, this breed really gets under your skin.
There is a possibility that the love bug that is Major will be available to a show neuter home, if you are serious about this boy then please feel free to contact me.

Major & Aimee

Disney, Willow and Judge are making the most of the sunshine and have been sprawled out in it at every oppurtunity.
Our next show is in Swanley next weekend, so keep your fingers crossed!

Available

Well the lovely Arthur now has a new home but due to unforseen circumstances his sister Annabel and half sister Elizabeth are now looking for pet homes in the UK.

Both girls are longhairs, Annabel is a straight eared Brown Spotted Torbie (Tortie tabby) and Elizabeth is a curled eared Red Tabby & White. Both are very sweet and affectionate.

Elizabeth

Major had a bit of a photo session the other day, he is the most awkward kitten to photograph as he won't keep still but I did manage to capture him!

Didn't she do well??

WOW!
Aimee had a fabulous first show, she beat Major to the BOB in all 12 rings which was expected as his coat still needs to settle down and he could bulk up a bit more. But, she then finalled 3 times in the AB rings on Saturday and in all 6 rings on Sunday!!
She earnt over 1200 regional points which will place her 2nd Int and Regional BOB.

Arthur is still looking for a safe loving home, this boy has such a wonderful curl character.

Weekend report

Well they loved it, Curls are certainly not shy or retiring! We had made plenty of provision for shutting off the pen to prying eyes so they could have a rest if needed, but no, not these guys they wanted everyone to play with them!

Elizabeth

Kinky, now called Bud (in honour of a very successful show Selkirk) will be off to his new pet home soon. We know he is going to have a wonderful time with Gill and her family and he will get to play with two Lelaurier Selkirks!

Bud

Arthur was shown, by my mum, in the Household Pet Kitten class and came home with a Best, 2 x seconds and 3 x thirds. He was the youngest there but spent the day purring at full volume and making puddings.

Arthur

Look, is now called Aimee and we will be showing both her and Major next month, she is so like her mum it's uncanny and just has something about her.

So for now the only kitten we have available is the lovely straight eared Arthur.
